In the bottom of the seventh, leadoff hitter Kim Sung-hyun singled to center and Choi Joo-hwan doubled to center to put runners on second and third. Kim Min-sik grounded out to second base to bring home Kim Sung-hyun. Kim Chan-hyung hit a single to right field to bring home Choi Joo-hwan and tie the game.
Eventually, SSG ended the game in the bottom of the 10th inning. After leadoff hitter Oh Tae-gon doubled down the left-field line, Kim Kang-min’s bunt was misplayed by Jung Hae-young at first base. Pinch-hitter Choi Hang struck out, but Kim stole second. Guillermo Heredia reached on an error by the pitcher, loading the bases. Ha Jae-hoon grounded into a double play, but Kim Sung-hyun popped out to center.
