The doors of Nam Hyun-hee’s fencing club academy in Jagok-dong, Seoul, were firmly closed as of Tuesday.
On March 23, Nam Hyun-hee announced her divorce in an interview with a women’s magazine, announcing her remarriage to Jeon Cheong-jo, a third-generation out-of-wedlock child of a chaebol.
After the news of the remarriage, Jeon Cheong-jo, who was supposed to marry Nam Hyun-hee, caused a social ripple as her identity and various fraudulent activities were reported in the media.

Following reports from victims of Jeon’s alleged fraud, Nam Hyun-hee told CBS’s Kim Hyun-jung’s news show the same day, “I think they needed my name and face.”
“I think the end goal was me,” she said.

The fencing club run by Nam Hyun-hee has been closed since the news broke.
Residents of the nearby shopping district said that the fencing club hasn’t been open since all of its employees left work about three to four days ago.
