Professional soccer K League 2 club Chungnam Asan FC (owner Park Kyung-kyu and CEO Lee Jun-il) announced today that it has appointed head coach Kim Hyun-seok as its second head coach .As a player, Kim scored 110 goals and provided 54 assists in 371 matches in the K League. He played for Ulsan Hyundai from 1990 to 2003, winning six K League Best 11 titles, MVP (1996) and top scorer (1997), and is known as a K League legend.
Following his retirement, Kim served as a longtime Ulsan Hyundai coach, leading the team to a runner-up finish in the 2015 Cheongnyonggi National High School Football Tournament, a third-place finish in the 2017 National High School League Wangjoong, and a first-place finish in the 2017 National High School Gangwon League. Kim has a wide range of practical experience, including serving as the head coach of Ulsan University and the head of Ulsan Hyundai’s youth development department. “I would like to thank everyone, including the owner, Asan Mayor Park Kyung-gui, and CEO Lee Jun-il,” Kim said, “and I will play hard and win soccer by harmonizing and communicating with the players.”Chungnam Asan will quickly appoint a coaching staff to assist Kim, and will focus on organizing the squad for next season and 토토 preparing for winter training.
