Kim Joo-chan (Suwon), Seol Young-woo (Ulsan), Lee Young-jae (Suwon FC), and Thiago (Daejeon) will compete for the final K League Player of the Month award in 2023.The KFA announced today that the four players have been selected as the October-December nominees for the EA Sports K League Player of the Month Award, sponsored by Electronic Arts (EA), the official videogame partner of the K League. The K League Player of the Month is awarded to the player who performs the best in each month, but due to the lack of games in the last half of the season, a total of six games from October and December were evaluated. Kim scored three goals in all six matches during the period, including a game-winner in the 33rd round against the Pohang Steelers to give Suwon a 1-0 victory and earn him the round’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. Seol Young-woo, a defensive anchor on the flank for champions Ulsan, showed off his sharp “attacking instincts” with two goals in five matches.
Lee Young-jae added a goal and two assists in six games to keep Suwon FC’s hopes of staying in the K League 1 alive .Thiago played in all six matches, scoring three goals and providing three assists, making him Daejeon’s ‘main gun’ .The winner will be determined by a first round of voting by the Technical Committee of the professional league (60%), followed by a second round of fan voting (25%) and EA FC Online game user voting (15%-plus combined weight).Fan voting will take place via the Kick application until midnight on November 17th.The Player of the Month winner will receive a trophy and a special patch on their jersey for the season. They will also be recognized as Player 스포츠토토존 of the Month on their FC Online player card.
