Slot machine maker Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd said it has “expanded its presence in Asia” with slot machines “significantly” installed at two casino properties in South Korea.
The Australian-listed company said in a press release on Tuesday that it had installed an “A-Star” cabinet (pictured), a 27-inch dual-screen and 43-inch curve-screen device, at its Mohegan Inspire Entertainment resort in Incheon.
The cabinet has what Ainsworth described as “treasure spirits” and “cash stacks,” the “best performing” titles.
The company did not disclose how many slots it installed at Mohegan Inspire, an event venue run by the U.S.-based Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority.
Mohegan Inspire opened a foreigner-only casino on Feb. 3. It officially opened on Mar. 5.
Ainsworth also said that it has installed 30 A-Star cabinets at Kangwon Land, the resort where the only casino in Korea is open to locals. Kangwon Land’s slots feature titles “Treasure Spirit” and “Quad Shot.”
Kangwon Land, the promoter of the casino resort, announced plans to expand the property last month, which will triple its casino space by 2032.
The data released Tuesday quoted Troy Primmer, Ainsworth’s president of Asia-Pacific affairs, as saying: “This is an important milestone for Ainsworth as we continue to expand our presence in the Asian market, and we are honored to partner with esteemed resorts such as Inspire Entertainment Resort and Kangwon Land.”
