Taekwondo coaches and referees from worldwide will participate in a training program in Muju County, North Jeolla Province, from Sunday to Wednesday ahead of the Paris Olympics, World Taekwondo (KT) said Friday.Twenty-six international taekwondo referees and 32 Taekwondo national team coaches will attend the coach-referee joint training camp for the upcoming Summer Olympics. Established in 2014, Taekwondowon, a Taekwondo training and competition facility in Muju, was designated as WT’s central training center in May 2016.The facility has three Olympic-grade competition courts certified by WT, an

electronic protector and scoring system, instant video replay, game management, scoring simulation and 4D replay systems to facilitate education and recreate the environments of major competitions.Notably, the 4D replay system, a real-time replay technology that helps the scoring process with 3D images, was first introduced in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and will also be used in Taekwondo matches at the Paris Olympics.The training camp is promoted by WT and organized by the Taekwondo Promotion Foundation.It is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, the North Jeolla Provincial Government and Muju County.WT will also host a council meeting on Monday to decide the venue for the 2024 World Taekwondo Grand Prix 슬롯놀이터 Final.
