The Korea National Under-18 Baseball Team lost to Chinese Taipei in its first game at the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) World Youth Baseball Championship 2023.

Korea, coached by Lee Young-bok, 토토사이트 dropped a 1-6 decision to Chinese Taipei in their first game of the preliminary round of the tournament in Taichung, Taiwan on Tuesday (Feb. 2).

South Korea started left-hander Hwang Jun-seo, a sophomore at Jang Chung-go. Hwang, who is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming KBO rookie draft, was highly touted but struggled a bit, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out three in 2 1/3 innings.

That’s how the game ended, and they suffered a rather lethargic defeat.

Korea will play the second game of the preliminary round on Wednesday against the Czech Republic.

The Koreans are in Group A with Taiwan, Australia, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the Czech Republic, 스포츠토토맨 and will need to finish in the top three of their group to advance to the Super Round.
