The schedule for next year’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL) organized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has been finalized.According to the FIVB’s website on May 9 (KST), the Korean women’s national team will travel to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Arlington, Texas, and Japan for three weeks from May 15 next year.The VNL will feature 16 countries, both men and women. The Korean men’s national team did not qualify for the VNL.The South Korean women’s national team will compete in the VNL next year after not being relegated to the lower-level Volleyball Challenge Cup, despite a 27-match losing streak in the VNL since 2021, including two consecutive years without a win and 12 matches without a loss.At the inauguration of the VNL in 2018, the FIVB categorized South Korea as one of 12 core teams that could compete in the VNL regardless of their performance and would maintain that status until 2024.If Korea does not improve on its current ranking of 40th in the FIVB World Rankings, it will not be guaranteed a spot in the VNL after 2025.

Korea will join Brazil, USA, Serbia, China, Canada, Dominican Republic, and Thailand in Week 1 on May 15-20, 2024.They will then move on to Arlington for Week 2, May 29-June 3, against the United States, Turkiye, Poland, Serbia, Germany, Canada, and Bulgaria, while Japan will host Japan, the United States, Italy, Serbia, the Netherlands, Canada, and France on June 11-16.Japan’s host city will be announced at a later date.In total, the Women’s VNL will be played in five countries: three countries plus Turkuye (Antalya) and China (Macau-Hong Kong).The Final Round will be held June 20-23, featuring the seven best-performing teams from Weeks 1-3 and the host country.The FIVB will allocate five men’s and five women’s berths to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games based on the world rankings from next year’s VNL.In addition to host France, seven nations – Brazil, Canada, Germany, Japan, Poland and USA (men) and Brazil, 온라인카지노 Dominican Republic, Poland, Serbia, Turkiye and USA (women) – have already qualified for Paris.
