K-League official ball, Adidas ‘Foosballiver’ to be used at Euro 2024
The official ball for the 2024 European Football Championship (Euro 2024), which will be held in June, can also be seen in the new season of the Korean professional football K-League.
The Korean Professional Football League announced on the 19th that it has adopted Adidas’ ‘FUSSBALLLIEBE‘ as the new official ball to be used in the Hana Bank K-League 2024.
The Foosballiver, which is used in all games including K-League 1 and 2 and the promotion and relegation playoffs, is the official ball of Euro 2024.
It is characterized by incorporating colors symbolizing the 24 countries participating in the competition finals into the design. It means ‘love for soccer’ in German.
The Professional Football League reported that Foosballiver is equipped with technology that maintains a stable structure and the best air pressure even after strong impacts such as shooting, and that fine grooves that control air flow like a golf ball are placed on the surface of the outer shell to increase shooting accuracy.
He added that there is a sensor in the center with technology that analyzes the ball’s movement at a frequency of 500 times per second, so it can not only determine speed, direction, and angle, but can also be linked to a semi-automatic offside reading system.
