A comeback from the brink. The Minnesota Timberwolves breathed a sigh of relief after three straight losses in the Western Conference Finals.

Minnesota won 105-100 in Game 4 of the best-of-seven 2023-2024 National Basketball Association (NBA) Western Conference Finals against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

After dropping Games 1-3 and facing elimination with one loss, Minnesota survived a dramatic fourth quarter to send the series to Game 5. Game 5 will be played at Target Center, 토토사이트 추천 home of the Timberwolves, on March 31st.

Minnesota took a 27-20 lead after one quarter, but Dallas fought back to make it a close game until the final minute of the fourth quarter. With 1:47 left in the fourth quarter, Minnesota ace Anthony Edwards scored to give Minnesota an eight-point lead, 100-92, with 1:47 left in regulation, but Dallas answered with five straight points, including three free throws by Luka Doncic and a jumper by Kyrie Irving, to pull within 100-97.

Minnesota got back to within 103-97 on a pull-up jumper by Edwards with 39.1 seconds left and a pair of free throws by Mike Conley with 20.1 seconds left, but Doncic hit another three-pointer with 13 seconds left to make it 103-100, a three-point game.

It was Minnesota’s Nazr Reed who sealed the game. Reed hit a crucial layup with 11.1 seconds left in regulation to extend the lead back to five, and then blocked Doncic’s three-pointer in the closing seconds to seal the game.

Minnesota had an even offensive performance with all five starters scoring in double figures, led by Edwards with 29 points and Karl-Anthony Towns with 25. Dallas was led by Doncic’s triple-double of 28 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists, but it was overshadowed by the team’s loss.
