The Samsung Lions of the Korean Baseball Organization have won four straight games.
Samsung Lions rode a strong pitching performance to a 1-0 victory over the Hanwha Eagles in the 2024 Shinhan SolBank KBO League at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu, South Korea, on Sunday.
Samsung, which has won four straight games, including all three against Hanwha, remains in sole possession of third place with 32 wins, one draw and 25 losses.
Hanwha, which lost its third straight, fell to 24 wins, one draw and 32 losses.
The game was scoreless until the eighth inning as both starting pitchers pitched well.
Samsung starter Connor Seabold pitched six and one-third innings, striking out four and walking two while allowing six hits and four walks.
Moon Dong-ju also pitched a scoreless inning. He held the Samsung bats scoreless over seven innings while allowing six hits and three walks. He struck out seven.

With the two wins in the three-game series against KIA, KT improved to 26 wins, one draw and 31 losses. They remain in seventh place in the standings.
KT starter William Cuevas kept his no-hitter alive until the fifth inning, shutting out the KIA bats for seven innings, allowing just two hits and one walk. He struck out five.
Cuevas picked up his fourth win of the season (5-0) with the shutout.
